Ailsa has been a licensed hair stylist since 2001, however, she started working in a salon when she was 13. Ailsa is originally from England but moved to Canada in 2003. Upon her arrival on Canadian soil she continued working as a top stylist in Kamloops, BC and then moved to Prince George in 2017. Ailsa has taken so much education she has lost count. Most of her training has been with Redken, Kevin Murphy & Goldwell. Ailsa has also travelled to New York, and Las Vegas, to work on some amazing editorial shoots. She loves doing special occasion hair, avante guarde hair for fashion shoots, and don’t get us started on her redheads! She is an amazing colourist. Her training over the years has included Shwarzkopf, Redken, Goldwell, Color.Me, Kevin Murphy, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, Elumen and Suki’s in Vancouver. Customer service is of high importance to Kjirsten and it shows in her extensive consultations and drive to surpass client expectations. She is particularly passionate about Highlighting, Blondes and Classic and Curly hair cutting. Kjirsten finds it essential to consider her client’s lifestyle and maintenance desires when designing their new look. Mikayla has had a passion, from a very young age, for the beauty industry. After graduating high school Mikalya was quickly drawn to the world of Esthetics so she enrolled at Ms Lorea’s School of Esthetics, in Prince George. Mikayla is ambitious and driven so it was no surprise that she excelled at all of her training. She achieved her Esthetics Certification in March of 2018 but has continued to add to her skillset, having become certified in volume lashes and acrylite & gel nails. Mikayla is very creative, has an incredible attention to detail, and has phenomenal artistic skills. Mikayla joined the Shine family in Oct 2018 and we quickly realized that she is a great team player and a very kind, and warm-hearted, individual. Her belief that personal care is so important and contributes to how people feel in their day to day life is what drives her to share her talent and create “looks” for others which in turn creates a fresh and energetic mood for them. Samantha chose to be part of the Shine team because of its outstanding reputation and clean and friendly atmosphere. In 2017 Samantha started her apprenticeship working under Master stylists Ailsa, Kjirsten and Jacki. Along with her apprenticeship she has taken formal education with Shine with various visiting artists, Kevin Murphy balayage colour class, Goldwell, Elumen and Youngblood Minerals Cosmetics.
